It Gets Better

I think this is interesting to look at in reference to power and resistance.  BYU is an extremely repressive institution with a very strict student code of conduct. This is an unofficial group at the university.

After our discussions yesterday about the idea of equality, I wanted to link to the radical queer collective of activists and academics Against Equality. They’ve published several anthologies and have some interesting and accessible writing on their website, as well as some interesting images.

ACT UP, the AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power, formed in New York in 1987 and was active through the early 90s. See this timeline for the group’s actions.

Just found this article about Qwo-Li Driskill and the Queer Studies program being built at OSU. I wonder how it works to not identify by gender at all. Thoughts?
