The fact that someone can be described in a local paper as “not identifying by gender” while being interviewed about building a new queer studies curriculum feels like radical science fiction from the perspective of the 1990s articles we’ve been reading for today… Maybe even from the perspective of Indiana, PA! It’s a great topic of conversation for class both today and tomorrow.
